Any concept has its strengths and weaknesses. Some are easier to digest, others are more radical. Some are mainstream, others remain at the outset. Some are chosen because they are in line with the evidence, others for political reasons.

This website does not aim for clarifying all inconsistencies and come up with a common umbrella for you. It embraces plurality. From each concept, you can learn different things. This website tries to equip you as a policymaker or person working to improve policy with the knowledge, tools, and capacities to co-design an economy fit for the future—be it on a regional, national, or supranational level. This includes:

• using them for public policy innovation to change the economy
• identifying policies and strategies to achieve a policy vision
• understanding trade-offs and synergies between policies
