Beyond GDP

Beyond GDP is about redefining the indicators to measure economic progress. In 2007, the EU’s Beyond GDP initiative began with a high-level conference to clarify which indices best measure progress and how to use these in policymaking. In 2016 at the World Economic Forum, top economists agreed that GDP is a poor measure of an economy’s health and that a new measure is urgently needed.
